message from the chairman

Fellow Hampton Hill residents, welcome to your community website. For those that are reading this but are not residents, welcome to you too!

My name is Mike Walker and I have been the elected Chairman of the Hampton Hill Association (HHA) since May this year. I hope that I can serve our community well. I have been a resident of Hampton Hill for 16 years and, quite frankly, would not choose to live anywhere else. I believe we are a friendly and subtly vibrant community. It seems able to serve most of our needs, from peace and quiet to party-time. After what seemed a period of decline through the late 90’s, we seem to have picked ourselves up and grown into an area that people aspire to live in.

The aims of this website mirror those of the HHA, that is to serve our community and represent its interests. We plan to keep the website updated frequently and to provide you with local information and details of Association and community activities. However, this website is also about you and will be what you make it. I encourage you to submit whatever information, content, suggestions and ideas you may have to ask@hhassociation.org and we will endeavour to incorporate your submission.

Please be assured that this does not signal the end of the Association magazine. Quite to the contrary, this website will supplement the magazine and we hope to increase the magazine publication to 4 times per year.

If you are already a member of the Association, you will automatically gain access to the members’ only area of this website at no extra cost and you will be hearing from us shortly.

If you are a resident of Hampton Hill but not a member of the Association, you will still have access to the generic areas of this website. I would encourage you to join the Association and, for only £5 per household per year, in addition to the members area of the website, you will receive our Association newsletter and our support and assistance for issues that matter to you. Click on the ‘how to become a member’ link on the left of the main page.

In addition to your access to the members’ area, you will have your own personal page upon which you can introduce yourself to your fellow community members with photos and texts; it can be entertaining, educational or informative. Almost anything within reason. I plan to have my own page completed shortly.

Mike Walker
