about the hampton hill association

what is the hha?
Formed in 1964 to preserve the amenities of Hampton Hill and foster a community spirit, it is a voluntary organisation of local residents who want to keep the unique identity of Hampton Hill and have a voice in its affairs. A regular newsletter is published quarterly with news, views and items of interest, and every other year there is an exhibition of local arts, crafts and hobbies.

The association has a Planning and Environment Group to monitor applications and changes likely to affect the area; a Social Committee that organises outings and social events; a Membership Secretary to co-ordinate street representatives and general administration; a Music Circle which meets monthly, a representative on the Police Liaison Group and now, a brand new unique online presence organised by the Web Committee.

The established association has been running for 43 years now and is well supported by the diverse businesses along the thriving High Street, its members, community organisations and the local school.

what do we do?
The HHA Committee Members work closely with the Local Authorities who control the planning, environment and policing of our village. We hold regular meetings where local residents can express their views and concerns. We then represent the local community and approach and chase up the appropriate decision making authorities. We are closely associated with the Traders Association, The Greenwood Centre & The Friends of Bushy Park and, along with the Hampton Hill Traders Association, we help to organise local events such as the annual Christmas Parade which raise funds for local charities such as The Shooting Star Trust.

why should you join us?
As a resident of Hampton Hill, you would benefit from being able to have a say in what happens in our village. You would also get to meet your neighbours, socialise and make friends. All in all, you would gain the satisfaction of knowing you were helping us to raise awareness of local issues as well funds for local charities and enjoy getting to know your fellow villagers!

HHA members have the added benefit of access to a members only section of this website which provides archives of our meeting minutes and other HHA related news. You also get to partake in social activities and make a real difference to the Hampton Hill Community as a whole. When you join up you will receive the username and password to access the members only area. Find out how to join....

If you are already a member; click here to send an email to receive the username and password  for the members only page.

added incentive
You also get your own webpage on the HHA website! Once you have joined you just fill in a simple form and you will have your own personal web space to advertise anything you wish (within reason) within 24 hours!
